The Holistic Process is the process of improving your whole self: mind, body, and spirit.
"This is perfect. That is perfect. Perfect comes from perfect.
Take perfect from perfect, the remainder is perfect.
May peace and peace and peace be everywhere"
-Translation of a prayer opening the Isha Upanishad
At The Serenity Space, I help people develop wellness and self-care habits which are individually effective. This includes working through physical practices together such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, and exercises, mental training and development, and personal spiritual exploration.
People appreciate the balance which this holistic process offers in our appointments. Here's how it might look for an hour appointment: we spend the first 15 minutes doing self-care exercises, such as yoga, meditation and breathwork, in order to center ourselves in the moment. Then we spend 30 minutes talking through problems. Here we explore what's happening in your world and why. Our last 15 minutes is the "how", where we create and update your personalized wellness program. This gives you concrete goals and tasks to do in between your visits, and will track your progress over time so that you see what you’ve accomplished. Together we'll set realistic and attainable goals, goals which will help support you as a person and goals which you will feel good about achieving.
The beauty of this Holistic Process is how each approach enhances and deepens the effects of the others. The self-care exercises we start with get us centered, focused, and comfortable for the deeper conversations we have after them. These conversations allow us to explore what is and isn’t working with your journey right now and why that may be the case. Then the wellness program sets concrete goals based on the needs and desires we uncover during our conversations. It’s a process that provides support on emotional, physical, and spiritual levels. This approach works to explore and improve our authentic selves, and bring happiness and confidence in yourself that you earn and deserve.
It’s a process that takes some hard work, and it’s a journey that never really ends. At some points, we may need to reach for outside help, including licensed medical professionals or specialists, to provide care beyond the scope of life coaching. But I believe that the journey itself—the process of improving ourselves and finding our peace so that we can better relate and give back to the world around us—is an inherently good and gratifying one. The Serenity Space is my effort at making this into an effective and efficient journey: one which will be based around you as an individual and one which will work to bring peace and earned happiness into your life.
